About the Responsible Research website
The Responsible Research website is a guide to best practice in research integrity and science communication in the Finnish scientific community. The articles it contains are written by experts and the bodies behind the website to broaden understanding of the topics addressed.
The Responsible Research website brings together best practice in research integrity and science communication as part of an open science culture. It is part of a project that produces online material, applicable to all disciplines, focused on carrying out responsible science, publishing and science communication, for researchers, publishers, funding bodies and decision-makers as well as higher education students and teachers. The material was created for Finnish circumstances and describes Finnish scientific research practices for a research community in Finland that is becoming increasingly international and also for researchers outside Finland’s borders.
The project is a joint venture by the Committee for Public Information (TJNK) and the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity (TENK) and is funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland. TJNK and TENK operate in conjunction with the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies.
