Checklist for participants in a research project to agree authorship

To prevent disputes, the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity TENK recommends that researchers participating in research projects and other people involved in co-publications start a discussion, headed by a principal investigator or head of a research group, on the principles of authorship as early as the research planning stage, in good time before submitting the manuscript for publication. TENK has published recommendations for research publications [2], which include the checklist below.
